What this site is
A free directory. We list outfitters and pass along messages. We don't run trips, take bookings, or handle payments, and we don't charge anglers or outfitters for inquiries. Your booking is between you and the outfitter, on their terms.
Listings
Listing details come from public sources or from the business itself, and they change. Confirm prices, dates, what's included, and the currency with the outfitter before you book. We don't endorse or guarantee any business listed here, and a listing isn't a sign that a business is licensed or insured. Check that yourself.
Ice and safety
Ice reports here are dated observations from other people, not safety advice. Ice changes fast and varies across the same lake. Check conditions yourself, ask your outfitter, and never trust ice because of something you read on a website.
Ice reports are what other anglers saw on one day in one spot. They aren't safety advice and conditions change by the hour. You're responsible for your own safety on the ice and for following fishing regulations and licence rules where you fish.
Our related businesses
The people who run this site also run GuideFlow, booking software some listed outfitters use, and Online Outfitters, an outdoor store. Gear links go to Online Outfitters. Listings, ice reports, and the order outfitters appear in aren't affected by whether an outfitter uses GuideFlow.
Using the site
Please don't:
- send spam, fake inquiries, or abuse through our forms
- claim a listing for a business you don't run
- copy the directory in bulk, or scrape it with automated tools
- try to get around our spam checks or into parts of the site you aren't given access to
We may remove content, block someone from using the site, or change or stop any part of the site.
What you post
When you send an ice report, or an outfitter edits their listing, it stays yours. You let us show it on the site and in the newsletter, edit it for length and clarity, and keep showing it after you stop using the site, for free. Only post what you saw yourself or have the right to share. Don't post anything false, unlawful, or that someone else owns. We review ice reports before they go up and can turn down or remove anything.
For outfitters
Listings are free. If you claim yours, you confirm you're allowed to act for the business. Keep your details accurate, honour the prices you list or update them, and reply to anglers in good faith. You're responsible for your trips, your permits, and your insurance. Ask us any time to remove your listing or stop emailing you.
Liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it, from a listing's or ice report's accuracy, or from dealings between anglers and outfitters.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live, including your state's consumer protection laws. Where these terms conflict with those rights, those rights win.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you're a consumer, you can still rely on the laws and courts of the state where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and the new version applies from then on. If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
